Learn more about Perspectives Through Broken Glass: A Guide to Navigating Depression at Home and in the Workplace

Approximately, 20 to 25 percent of adults suffer an episode of major depression during their lifetime. The 75 to 80 percent who don’t experience depression may find it difficult to understand the behaviors of those who do, which leaves those that do carry depression feeling isolated.

The average American spends forty hours a week at work, and leadership is finding it harder than ever to connect with and motivate employees, let alone those that struggle with mental health.

Perspectives Through Broken Glass is written from the perspective of a leader and mother who battles depression.

Written to be a resource for anyone who has experienced, is experiencing, or cares about someone experiencing depression.

Gain more perspective to take your relationships to empowered and compassionate connections that inspire others and most importantly, yourself.

About the Author,

Stephanie Kunkel

Stephanie works with clients to address the ways in which our brains change from our hormonal shifts to the everyday stresses of motherhood, being a mom is hard for anyone.  Couple that with a recent global pandemic, our expectations of the experience of motherhood, our beliefs of what society expects us to be at work and home it’s no wonder the guilt and shame around not being good enough is crippling to some of us.

The fact is that most of my clients have had a  recent major life change, and are still balancing a career and a family.  Our bodies, brains, day to day social lives, and relationships change and as a society, we could do a much better job at supporting mommas in such a vulnerable time of bringing a new person into the world.

I’m happy to continue to be part of the solution through coaching and speaking.  I believe that sharing my story and teaching people about how our brain works helps to remind other women of how amazing they truly are and how they deserve all that life and motherhood have to offer, especially the really wonderful parts.
